China has revealed the Jiu Tun, a drone-launching mothership UAV.
It can deploy 100 kamikaze UAVs rapidly. The Jiu Tun features an 82ft wingspan and a 12-hour flight duration.
Developed by Shaanix Unmanned Equipment Technology, the Jiu Tun can carry six tonnes of equipment. Its range exceeds 4,350 miles.
Footage shows the Jiu Tun launching kamikaze drones in a coordinated strike simulation. Experts warn that swarm attacks would overwhelm enemy systems.
The Jiu Tun can carry cruise missiles and medium-range-to-air missiles. It is designed to evade radar systems and ground-based defenses.
China is investing heavily in drone development. The Jiu Tun offers a swarm attack capability, unlike US counterparts.
