Acer FreeSense Ring: A Budget-Friendly Smart Ring Debuts at Computex 2025

Edited by: Tetiana Pinchuk Pinchuk

Acer has entered the health wearable market with the unveiling of the Acer FreeSense Ring at Computex 2025. This smart ring aims to compete with established players like the Samsung Galaxy Ring and Oura Ring 4 by offering continuous biometric tracking without any subscription fees.

Crafted from lightweight titanium alloy, the FreeSense Ring weighs between 2 and 3 grams and is available in sizes 7 to 13. It comes in two finishes: matte rose gold and glossy black. With IP68 and 5 ATM ratings, it boasts water resistance up to 50 meters for 30 minutes.

The ring monitors key health metrics such as heart rate, heart rate variability, blood oxygen levels, and sleep quality. A dedicated mobile app provides users with wellness feedback and detailed sleep stage analysis. The release is anticipated in August 2025.
