Apple is reportedly developing iPads with foldable screens, potentially launching as early as next year. These new iPads will feature Face ID technology.
To implement Face ID, a combination of an infrared projector and an infrared camera is required. The foldable design may necessitate using a "meta-lens" to reduce the space needed for the projector.
Additionally, Apple is exploring reducing the size of the Dynamic Island on iPhones, possibly by placing the projector under the display, alongside the camera. This change is expected with the iPhone 17.
Future iPad Pro models may feature 18.8-inch displays, larger than MacBooks but smaller than the 24-inch iMacs.
