TCL Launches New OLED Displays

TCL CSOT has officially commenced mass production of OLED displays using inkjet printing technology, aiming to reduce costs in this sector. The first product is a 21.6-inch 4K panel with a resolution of 3840 × 2160 pixels, designed for monitors.

This display achieves 99% coverage of the DCI-P3 color space and offers brightness up to 350 cd/m². It was showcased at Display Week 2024, targeting professional users, including those in the medical field.

The panels are manufactured using Gen 5.5 glass (1300 × 1500 mm) and materials from JOLED, which declared bankruptcy in 2023. JOLED was established in 2015 by Japan Display, Panasonic, and Sony to develop small and medium-sized OLED displays.

The first JOLED product was the Asus ProArt PQ22UC portable monitor, launched in 2018 for $5000, featuring similar size and resolution. TCL plans to expand its OLED product line by 2025.
