Bentley Bentayga Artenara Edition 2027 unveiled

British luxury automaker Bentley officially announced the Bentayga Artenara Edition on March 9, 2026, coinciding with the tenth anniversary of its flagship crossover model. This special edition integrates design elements previously associated with the high-end Mulliner division, paying homage to the Roque Bentayga peak on Gran Canaria, which originally inspired the model's name. The launch celebrates a decade of the Bentayga in the ultra-luxury SUV segment, a segment it entered following its debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September 2015.

The Artenara Edition is slated for the 2027 model year and will be offered in both Standard Wheelbase (SWB) and Extended Wheelbase (EWB) configurations. Both variants will feature the existing V8 engine, which produces 542 brake horsepower and 770 Newton-meters of torque, allowing for a 0-100 km/h acceleration time of approximately 4.5 seconds. The SWB model retains the Plug-in Hybrid (PHEV) option, which delivers a total output of 462 horsepower and achieves 0-100 km/h in about 5.3 seconds. This approach of extending current engine lifecycles contrasts with Bentley's stated objective to transition to a fully electric manufacturer by 2035, following the retirement of the W12 engine in mid-2024.

Developed by the Bentley Atelier, the Artenara Edition standardizes several sought-after Mulliner features, including the signature Mulliner double diamond grille and unique wing vents styled for the edition. The exterior styling adopts a cleaner aesthetic with body-colored lower brightwork on the bumpers and doors, though customers retain the option of the Blackline Specification for a darker appearance. A notable addition is the availability of new 23-inch Super Lux wheels, alongside the standard 22-inch wheels finished in grey and polished metal.

The interior design reflects the geographical inspiration through a unique tri-color split cabin scheme, an arrangement previously exclusive to the Mulliner Extended Wheelbase model. The connection to the Canarian landscape is materialized via a motif of the Roque Bentayga mountain etched onto the passenger fascia, which includes the precise longitude and latitude coordinates. This mountain pattern is further replicated through intricate laser-crafted perforations on the seat backs and door panels, emphasizing the detailed craftsmanship of the brand.

In parallel with this product introduction, Bentley expanded its digital ownership ecosystem in early March 2026, announcing the addition of its Connected Car service availability across six new international markets, including Australia, Hong Kong, Singapore, South Africa, Taiwan, and New Zealand. The Artenara Edition, priced from £209,145, exemplifies Bentley's current strategy of leveraging heritage and exclusive personalization to sustain desirability for its existing platform during the transition toward an electric future, set against a global ultra-luxury market projected to reach USD 1.09 trillion by 2035.
