Isuzu is preparing to launch an electric version of its popular D-Max pickup, aiming to offer an alternative to diesel models.
The company is adapting the D-Max into an electric pickup, slated for release in European markets by 2026.
The electric D-Max features a dual-motor setup, delivering a combined output of 190 horsepower and 325 Nm of torque. It accelerates from 0-100 km/h in 10.1 seconds, with a top speed of 130 km/h. The battery pack has a capacity of 66.9 kWh, providing a range of 260 km. Charging from 20-80% takes approximately one hour with a 50 kW charger.
Isuzu highlights the D-Max EV as the first electric pickup in Europe offering comparable capabilities to its diesel counterparts. It has a payload capacity of 1,000 kg and can tow up to 3,500 kg, matching traditional pickup capabilities.
The off-road capabilities include a wading depth of 600mm and an approach angle of 210mm. Isuzu offers an 8-year or 160,000 km warranty for the D-Max EV.
Initial deliveries are expected in the UK, with other European markets to follow by March 2026.
