Ford Issues Multiple Recalls Over Brake, Fire, and Software Issues

Edited by: Tetiana Pinchuk Pinchuk

Ford has issued multiple recalls affecting nearly 150,000 vehicles due to potential safety risks. These recalls address issues ranging from brake fluid leaks to potential electrical fires and software errors. One recall affects 123,611 of its 2017-18 F-150s, Expeditions, and Lincoln Navigator cars. A brake fluid leak can reduce brake function and extend stopping distance, increasing crash risk. Another urgent recall impacts approximately 457 of its 2024-25 E-Transit Chassis Cab vehicles due to a fire risk. Water entering the high voltage battery can cause an electrical short circuit. Additionally, 24,655 of its 2025 Explorer vehicles are being recalled for a software error. This error could cause loss of drive power or engine stall, increasing the risk of a crash.
