xAI Launches Grok Business and Grok Enterprise

Edited by: Veronika Radoslavskaya

On December 30, 2025, xAI officially introduced Grok Business and Grok Enterprise, moving the platform into the corporate sector with a focus on high-scale reasoning and data security. The release positions Grok as a robust alternative for organizations requiring frontier-level AI integrated with private internal data.

Breakthrough Performance: The 2-Million Token Window

The standout technical feature of this launch is the integration of the Grok-4 Fast model, which offers a massive 2-million token context window.

  • Large-Scale Analysis: This capacity allows teams to process entire codebases, massive legal archives, or thousands of pages of financial reports in a single session.
  • Reasoning Flexibility: The architecture supports both high-speed responses and deep "thinking" modes, enabling users to adjust computational effort based on the complexity of the task.
  • High-Fidelity Output: Benchmarks for the Grok-4 series show significant gains in reducing hallucinations and improving emotional intelligence (EQ) compared to previous versions.

Enterprise Security: The Vault

To address corporate privacy requirements, xAI has implemented the "Enterprise Vault" architecture.

  • Zero Training Policy: Data from Business and Enterprise accounts is not used to train or improve xAI’s underlying models.
  • Isolated Data Plane: Enterprise customers benefit from an isolated environment where all data is stored and accessed independently of the shared consumer stack.
  • Full Encryption Control: The platform supports Customer-Managed Encryption Keys (CMEK) and Application-Level Encryption, ensuring that organizations retain total control over their sensitive information.

Grok Studio and Tool Integration

The release centers around Grok Studio, a collaborative workspace that evolves the AI from a chatbot into a productivity hub:

  • Collaborative Environment: A split-screen interface where teams can write code, generate reports, and edit documents in real-time alongside Grok.
  • Native App Connectivity: Grok now supports "Apps," starting with deep Google Drive integration. The AI can search and analyze Workspace files while strictly following existing organizational permissions.
  • Agentic Workflows: Through the Collections API, organizations can create "Projects" that allow Grok to act as an autonomous agent for deep research across private data repositories.

Availability

Grok Business is available via the xAI portal as a self-serve option for small-to-medium teams. The Enterprise tier, designed for larger organizations, includes advanced identity management such as Custom SSO and Directory Sync (SCIM). Both tiers are accessible through the web, Windows, and mobile platforms.
