Cupertino, California - Apple announced significant artificial intelligence advancements and a new design concept at the Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) 2025.
A new framework will allow third-party applications to access Apple's AI features without an internet connection. However, Apple cautioned that "more time is needed to achieve a high level of quality."
The upcoming iOS 26 operating system for iPhones will introduce several AI-powered features. These include "Call Screening," which allows the device to answer calls and provide a summary of the call's purpose.
Live translation will also be available in Messages, Phone, and FaceTime applications, powered by new AI models developed by Apple.
Furthermore, Apple unveiled a visual redesign of its operating systems under the "liquid glass" concept. This design features transparent menus and icons that simulate glass.
The new design will be available on platforms like Safari, Photos, FaceTime, and in products such as Apple CarPlay.
