Google has announced a significant investment in FireSat, a satellite constellation designed to improve the detection and monitoring of wildfires globally. The FireSat constellation comprises over 50 satellites equipped with advanced infrared sensors capable of detecting small fires, some as small as 5 by 5 meters.
