The National Mas-Wrestling Championship concluded at the University of Sialkot, marking a significant milestone for the development of international sports in Pakistan. Young athletes from across the country showcased their skills in the competition.
The event was graced by the Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan, Avazbek Atakhanov, who emphasized the importance of promoting Mas-Wrestling in Pakistan. He stated that it strengthens the sports culture and enhances Pak-Kyrgyz diplomatic relations, pledging support to ensure Pakistani athletes achieve global recognition.
Sargodha emerged as the winner, securing first place with 57 points. Bahawalpur, Gujrat, and Islamabad shared second place with 52 points each, while Gujranwala claimed third place with 39 points. The President of the Pakistan Mas-Wrestling Federation, Nawab Furqan Khan, highlighted the championship as a major breakthrough in promoting the sport in Pakistan, aiming to engage youth in healthy activities and create world-class sports opportunities.
