Teethe Releases "Magic of the Sale," Expanding Slowcore Horizons

19:39, 08 August

Edited by: Inna Horoshkina One

Texas-based slowcore band Teethe has released their second album, "Magic of the Sale," on August 8, 2025. The 14-track album marks a significant evolution from their 2020 self-titled debut, exploring themes of building a life amidst shared societal challenges. The album features notable tracks like "Tires & Bookmarks" and "Hate Goodbyes," the latter including guest contributions from Xandy Chelmis and Charlie Martin.

The album showcases the collaborative songwriting and vocals of Teethe's four core members: Boone Patrello, Grahm Robinson, Madeline Dowd, and Jordan Garrett. Their creative process, which began with intimate jam sessions, has been refined with upgraded equipment and a deeper exploration of composition and production. The release is supported by an extensive tour spanning September 5 to December 16, 2025, with dates across the United States, including Los Angeles and Seattle, and international stops in London and Paris. Teethe is recognized as a potential leader in the modern slowcore revival, a genre characterized by subdued tempos, minimalist instrumentation, and introspective lyrical themes that emerged in the early 1990s as a counterpoint to more aggressive musical styles.

Teethe's journey began in Denton, Texas, with their 2020 debut album garnering significant attention. "Magic of the Sale" represents a natural progression, featuring expanded sonic possibilities and refined production, with Boone Patrello mixing the record over four months. The album's artwork, created by Madeline Dowd, features a jester-like figure symbolizing the band's newfound confidence and exploration of the unknown.
