Edited by: Inna Horoshkina One

Superchunk has announced their 13th studio album, 'Songs In The Key Of Yikes,' scheduled for release on August 22, 2025, via Merge Records. The album will feature previously released singles "Everybody Dies" and "Bruised Lung," along with the newly released opening track, "Is It Making You Feel Something."

This album marks Superchunk's first since 2022's 'Wild Loneliness' and the first with Laura King as a permanent member, following Jon Wurster's departure. The album was engineered by Paul Voran and Eli Webb.

In support of the album, Superchunk will embark on a tour in September and October 2025, commencing on September 5 in Richmond, VA, and concluding on October 23 in Los Angeles, CA. Mac McCaughan describes the new single as being about embracing the creative process without overthinking it, and questioning the purpose of art while emphasizing the importance of starting.
