Peter Murphy, the iconic voice of Bauhaus, has released his latest album, Silver Shade, on May 9, 2025. This marks his first studio album since 2014's Lion, also produced by Youth of Killing Joke fame. Murphy describes the new album as a powerful addition to his discography.
Silver Shade features collaborations with Trent Reznor of Nine Inch Nails, and Justin Chancellor of Tool. The album showcases Murphy's evolving artistry, blending synth-punk/funk with introspective art rock. The first single, "The Artroom Wonder", was released on March 21, 2025.
Murphy is scheduled to perform at the Forever Now festival in Milton Keynes, UK on June 22, 2025, and at the M'era Luna festival in Hildesheim, Germany on August 9, 2025. Silver Shade is available on digital download, CD, and limited edition vinyl.
