Canadian singer-songwriter Lennie Gallant has released his new album, "Shelter from the Storms." This marks his first English-language album in seven years, following two French albums recorded with his partner, Patricia Richard, under the duo name Sirène et Matelot.
The album comprises 14 tracks and reflects on contemporary challenges, including climate change and political shifts. Gallant emphasizes themes of connection, love, and laughter as means of navigating difficult times. The album also features lighter moments, such as the song "It Takes a lot of Liquor to Bury a Horse," inspired by a humorous anecdote.
Gallant, a recipient of the Order of Canada and numerous music awards, will launch the album with a concert and plans a cross-country tour. He expresses his enjoyment of performing with his band and connecting with audiences across Canada.
