La Dispute Announces New Album and Tour

Edited by: Inna Horoshkina One

La Dispute, the post-hardcore band from Michigan, will release their new album, 'No One Was Driving the Car', on September 5, 2025, through Epitaph Records. This marks their first album in six years. The album is a conceptual work divided into five acts.

The album explores themes of technological advancement and societal issues, drawing inspiration from Paul Schrader’s 2017 film 'First Reformed'. The title is derived from a news article about a self-driving Tesla crash. The tracklist includes songs like 'I Shaved My Head' and 'End Times Sermon'.

The narrative delves into the narrator's introspection and personal history. La Dispute will embark on a European tour in July 2025. A North American tour will begin on September 5, 2025, in Detroit, Michigan, with stops in Toronto, Brooklyn, Boston, and Philadelphia.
