Petras co-wrote "Freak It" with Margo XS, Madison Love, Nightfeelings, Angel Emoji, and Luluwav, and co-produced with Nightfeelings, Margo XS, and Frost Children. The song was initially intended as the final track on her upcoming album, KP3, but fan reaction led to its early release as a standalone single.
