Edited by: Inna Horoshkina One
Global cello sensation HAUSER is set to release his highly anticipated album, "CINEMA," on September 12, 2025. This ambitious project is designed as a comprehensive musical and visual experience, featuring 25 iconic cinematic themes accompanied by evocative music videos filmed in the historic city of Plovdiv, Bulgaria. The album was recorded with the London Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Robert Ziegler.
"CINEMA" traverses a rich tapestry of film music, spanning decades of cinematic history. The tracklist includes grand themes like "Tara's Theme" from "Gone with the Wind" and contemporary pieces such as Billie Eilish's Oscar-winning "What Was I Made For?" from "Barbie." Fans can also anticipate renditions of beloved themes including "Mission: Impossible," "Writing's on the Wall" from "Spectre," "The Music of the Night" from "The Phantom of the Opera," "Somewhere in Time," and "A Time for Us" from "Romeo and Juliet." The collection also pays tribute to legendary film composers such as Nino Rota, Francis Lai, Luis Bacalov, and Vangelis.
Complementing the album's release, HAUSER has unveiled a new visual for "Lujon," a classic by Henry Mancini, offering a sensual and elegant interpretation. The music videos for "CINEMA" were filmed in iconic Plovdiv locations, including the Ancient Theatre and the Old Town, transforming these historical backdrops into vibrant canvases for HAUSER's cello compositions. This approach not only enhances the musical experience but also highlights Plovdiv as a significant cultural hub for artistic creation, with HAUSER having previously filmed six videos in the city.
"CINEMA" marks a significant step in HAUSER's solo career, following his previous releases such as "CLASSIC," "The Player," "HAUSER CHRISTMAS," and "CLASSIC II." His work consistently bridges the gap between classical and popular music through classical crossover. This album, with its expansive scope and visually rich presentation, reinforces HAUSER's mission to connect people globally through the universal language of music, demonstrating how timeless melodies resonate across different eras and cultures. The project underscores the profound connection between music and visual storytelling, offering audiences a multi-sensory journey that celebrates the enduring power of cinematic scores.
