Foo Fighters Release 'Today's Song' to Celebrate 30th Anniversary

17:05, 31 July

Edited by: Inna Horoshkina One

Foo Fighters have released "Today's Song," a new single marking the 30th anniversary of their self-titled debut album. The track, available across digital platforms, is their first new material since the 2023 album "But Here We Are." "Today's Song" is a power ballad with lyrics describing being optimistic and overcoming adversity. The artwork for the single was created by Dave Grohl's daughter, Harper Grohl. In a message to fans, Dave Grohl reflected on the band's journey, acknowledging both moments of joy and heartbreak, and honoring former members, including the late Taylor Hawkins. The song is available for streaming on various platforms.

In the United States, "Today's Song" has achieved significant success on Billboard's Rock & Alternative Airplay chart, reaching the number one position. This marks the band's 12th number one on this chart, extending their record for the most Rock & Alternative Airplay number ones. The song also secured the number six spot on the Alternative Airplay chart and the number ten position on the Mainstream Rock Airplay chart. Additionally, it debuted at number 32 on the Adult Alternative Airplay chart.

Internationally, "Today's Song" has made notable appearances on various charts. In the United Kingdom, the track peaked at number 45 on the Official Singles Sales Chart and number 40 on the Official Singles Downloads Chart. In New Zealand, it reached number 28 on the RMNZ Hot Singles chart.

Foo Fighters are set to perform at the Singapore Grand Prix on October 4, 2025, and have announced additional tour dates in Asia and Mexico later this year.
