British electronic producer Fred again.. has unveiled one of the year’s most unconventional musical releases: USB002 EVERY SHOW 108 HOURS, a continuous 108-hour mix that brings together recordings from every set of his USB002 world tour.
The project merges 21 shows into a single sonic stream, transforming the tour from a series of performances into a unified audio diary of a shared experience between artist and audience.
In reality, this is no longer an album or even a live release in the traditional sense.
It is a record of a musical community moving through time.
Music Ceases to Be a Track. It Becomes a Space
The mix features collaborative performances with artists from across the musical spectrum:
— Four Tet
— Skrillex
— Romy
— Skepta
— Underworld
— Young Thug
— Thomas Bangalter (Daft Punk)
and dozens of other tour participants.
In this way, USB002 captures more than just a solo career; it documents a living network of global musical connections.
It represents a significant shift:
from album → to process
from release → to experience
from authorship → to co-creation
108 Hours — A Number of Significance
The most remarkable detail of the project is its duration: 108 hours!
This number appears frequently:
— in Eastern musical and spiritual traditions
— in the structure of mala beads (108 beads)
— in the relative distances between the Earth, Sun, and Moon
— in ritual cycles of breath and meditation
In the context of the electronic scene, this feels almost like a statement:
music is once again becoming a rhythm of presence, rather than just an industry product.
USB002 — A New Form of Musical Time
The project itself was conceived as a continuous recording of the tour:
from October 3, 2025
to February 27, 2026
and has become one of the longest musical uploads ever featured on YouTube.
But more importantly, it is an attempt to preserve the raw energy of live performances, including audience reactions, improvisations, and backstage moments. Here, the music does not sound like a finished product. It sounds like a journey.
What Does This Milestone Add to the Global Soundscape?
USB002 showcases a new format for the 21st-century musical experience:
music is no longer confined by the album, the stage, or the streaming platform.
It is becoming a continuous field of presence.
This 108-hour stream is more than just a tour archive.
It is a sign that the electronic scene is once again returning music to its original function:
acting as a space for people to breathe together.
