Vienna, Austria, will host the 70th anniversary of the Eurovision Song Contest in May 2026. The announcement follows the selection of Vienna as the host city in mid-August 2025, chosen for its extensive infrastructure and experience in managing large international events, including the 2015 Eurovision Song Contest.
The Wiener Stadthalle has been confirmed as the primary venue for the event, recognized for its substantial capacity and advanced technical facilities, ensuring it can meet the logistical demands of the competition. This marks Vienna's third time hosting the Eurovision Song Contest, having previously hosted in 1967 and 2015.
To commemorate the 70th edition, a new visual identity has been launched, featuring a refreshed logo and a custom typeface called "Singing Sans." The updated branding includes a dynamic "Chameleon Heart" graphic, designed to adapt and reflect the host country's identity and the contest's spirit. A special 3D logo, composed of 70 distinct layers, has also been created to symbolize each year of the Eurovision Song Contest's history.
Austria's 2025 Eurovision winner, JJ, whose song "Wasted Love" secured the nation's third victory, has expressed his excitement about Vienna hosting the 2026 event. Austria's previous wins were in 1966 and 2014.
