The 8th International Ephesus Opera and Ballet Festival is scheduled to take place from June 27 to July 13 at the ancient theater in Ephesus, Turkey. The event is organized by the State Opera and Ballet and will feature a diverse program of classical and contemporary performances.
The festival will commence with the ballet Swan Lake, presented by the Izmir State Opera and Ballet. Daniil Simkin and Iana Salenko will perform the lead roles. The historic Ephesus theater will serve as the backdrop for the performances.
Other highlights include Mozart's The Abduction from the Seraglio, Carl Orff's Carmina Burana, and the opera Forbidden Love. Verdi's La Traviata will also be staged, featuring Zeljko Lucic. The festival will conclude with the ballet Zorba the Greek.
