Blood Orange Releases New Single "The Field"

Blood Orange, the musical project of Dev Hynes, has unveiled a new single titled "The Field." This release is Hynes's first under the Blood Orange name since the 2022 EP "Four Songs." The track features collaborations with Caroline Polachek, Daniel Caesar, and Tariq Al-Sabir.

Hynes handled production and mixing duties, contributing vocals, piano, cello, synths, and drum programming. The song also includes guitar work by Vini Reilly of The Durutti Column. The accompanying music video, directed by Hynes, presents a visual narrative set in the English countryside.

Beyond this single, Hynes has been involved in other projects. He contributed to Lorde's album "Virgin," released on June 27, 2025. Upcoming performances include an appearance at the Portola Music Festival in San Francisco on September 21, 2025. "The Field" is accessible on all major streaming platforms.
