Egyptian music icon Amr Diab has earned four nominations at the prestigious All Africa Music Awards (AFRIMA) for 2025, reinforcing his significant impact on the Arab music landscape.

Diab is a contender in the categories of Best African Artist, Best Male Artist in North Africa, Best Artist in Northern Africa, and Album of the Year. These nominations follow the success of his latest album, 'Intayna,' and the popular track 'Baba.' This recognition highlights Diab's sustained ability to connect with audiences, a hallmark of his multi-decade career. His influence is further underscored by his Guinness World Record for being the most-paid artist in the Middle East and his seven World Music Awards wins.

Diab's pioneering fusion of Arabic melodies with Western rhythms has earned him the title "Father of Mediterranean Music." His career, which began in 1983, has seen him release over 30 albums, consistently evolving his sound and influencing fashion and pop culture across the Arab world. This year's nominations saw a record-breaking 10,717 entries, with a 13-member jury selecting 343 nominees. Other prominent artists like Davido and Burna Boy also received multiple nominations, with five nods each, indicating a highly competitive field.
