The Weeknd Re-Signs with WME Amidst 'Hurry Up Tomorrow' Album, Film Launch 2025 Tour

20:49, 02 May

Edited by: Inna Horoshkina One

The Weeknd, also known as Abel Tesfaye, has returned to WME for representation across all areas, including his film production company Manic Phase. This move follows his previous stint with CAA, which began in 2021 after initially being with WME.

The Grammy-winning artist recently released his sixth studio album, "Hurry Up Tomorrow." The album debuted at number one on the Billboard 200, achieving 490,500 album-equivalent units in its first week and marking the biggest album debut of 2025 in the US. It has also garnered over three billion streams internationally.

An upcoming film, also titled "Hurry Up Tomorrow," is scheduled for release on May 16 via Lionsgate. The film stars The Weeknd, Jenna Ortega, and Barry Keoghan and is directed by Trey Edward Shults. The Weeknd's North American stadium tour, supporting the album, commences on May 9 in Glendale, Arizona, featuring Playboi Carti and Mike Dean, with a portion of proceeds benefiting Global Citizen.
