Your Roots Are Showing: A Music Conference in Killarney Featuring Industry Legends

From January 14 to 19, the Your Roots Are Showing music conference will take place in Killarney, Ireland, bringing together stars like Pulitzer Prize winner Rhiannon Giddens and 14-time Grammy winner Ron Block. Now in its third year, the event celebrates bluegrass, folk, Americana, and roots music, aiming to honor and preserve musical traditions.


Highlights of the Conference

Founded by Charlene Sloan and Brendan McCreanor, the conference has gained international recognition, attracting over 100 artists from more than 20 countries.

  • This year, the event will debut a Lifetime Achievement Award, which will be presented to bluegrass legend Peter Rowan.

  • The opening concert, FOLK iN FUSION - YRAS LIVE, will feature performances by Giddens, Block, Rowan, and other renowned artists.
