Tom Brady, who retired from the NFL two years ago, is reportedly considering a comeback to compete in the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics. Sources told The Daily Mail that Brady is seriously contemplating pursuing a gold medal. This ambition would add to his already impressive career.

The report follows the NFL's decision to allow its players to participate in the Olympics. Brady will be 50 years old by the time the 2028 Olympics take place. Despite his age, he reportedly wants to lead Team USA to victory.

An insider told the outlet, "He wants a Gold medal. And what better way to remain the GOAT and return to the sport he loves, by helping his country win gold." The insider added that the LA location and his structured life make it a feasible goal. While eligible for the Pro Football Hall of Fame, Brady has not confirmed the comeback rumors.

Each NFL team is limited to one player trying out for a country's Olympic team. Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes has also expressed interest in participating. Mahomes acknowledged that he will be 32 by 2028, but remains enthusiastic about the prospect.

"NFL football, American football, has taken to further parts, all the way across the world, with flag football coming to the Olympics," Mahomes said in November 2023. He added, "I think it's really cool because football is a great game that has given me so much, and I want to make sure everyone gets the same experience that I got growing up."
