Scooter Braun Reportedly Urges Taylor Swift to Buy Back Her Masters Amidst Shamrock Capital Sale

In a surprising turn of events, Scooter Braun, who previously purchased the rights to Taylor Swift's first six albums in 2019, is reportedly encouraging her to buy them back. Shamrock Capital, the current owner of the masters, is looking to sell them.

Sources told Page Six that Braun, once a figure of controversy for Swifties, is now advocating for the deal. This comes as Shamrock Capital seeks to ensure Swift is aware of the opportunity, suggesting she may not have been offered the chance initially.

The asking price for the masters is estimated to be between $600 million and $1 billion. Music industry consultant Clayton Durant believes it could be a worthwhile investment for Swift, potentially increasing her earnings significantly.

Durant also suggests that Swift's motivation might extend beyond financial gain. "She's so rich. She's already a billionaire. How much further does she want to go? Maybe it's a principle thing for her," he said.

The original sale in 2019 sparked controversy, with Swift claiming she was never given the opportunity to buy her own masters. Whether she will seize this new opportunity remains to be seen.
