Karine Jean-Pierre, the former White House press secretary, is set to release a book this fall offering an insider's perspective on President Biden's decision not to seek reelection. The book, published by Legacy Lit, a Hachette Book Group imprint, is titled "Independent: A Look Inside a Broken White House, Outside the Party Lines" and is scheduled for release on October 21.
Jean-Pierre, who served as the first Black woman and openly gay person to hold the position of White House press secretary, has also announced her shift to an independent affiliation. She stated that the book will address the challenges facing the United States and the need for innovative thinking and strategic planning.
The book will reportedly delve into the three weeks leading up to Biden's decision not to run for a second term, along with alleged betrayals within the Democratic Party. Jean-Pierre, who previously served as deputy press secretary and a senior advisor during Biden's 2020 campaign, will also offer insights into combating misinformation.
