Deborra-Lee Furness has officially filed for divorce from Hugh Jackman, nearly two years after their initial separation announcement. DailyMail.com exclusively revealed that the complaint was filed in New York on May 23rd. According to the filings, all matters have been settled privately.

Furness' lawyer, Elena Karabatos, submitted several documents, including a notice regarding health care coverage and a proposed settlement. The final step is for a judge to approve the judgment. Sources indicate that Furness will receive a substantial spousal support payment, ensuring a drama-free conclusion to their 27-year marriage.

An insider told DailyMail.com that Deborra is pleased with the settlement. There was some back and forth regarding this financial agreement but, in the end, she got what she believed she deserved. Both are coming out of this financially secure.

The divorce is reportedly uncontested, with both parties agreeing on settlement terms, alimony, and child expenses. They remain committed to co-parenting their two adopted children. Jackman, currently dating Sutton Foster, is said to be looking forward to the future.

Earlier reports suggested disagreements over dividing their estimated $250 million fortune, particularly due to the absence of a prenuptial agreement. Some sources claimed Furness felt betrayed by Jackman's relationship with Foster, alleging an emotional affair. The couple's marriage reportedly began to deteriorate during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Furness and Jackman met in 1995 on the set of the Australian TV show Correlli. They married in 1996 and adopted their son Oscar in 2000, followed by their daughter Ava in 2005. Jackman's career soared after their marriage, particularly with his role as Wolverine.
