Cassie Ventura Confirms Relationship with Kid Cudi, Diddy's Alleged Threats Revealed in Trial

Singer Cassie Ventura confirmed a brief relationship with rapper Kid Cudi during her testimony in the Sean "Diddy" Combs sex trafficking trial. The revelation came amidst allegations of threats made by Combs against both Ventura and Cudi.

Ventura testified that Combs threatened to harm her and Cudi, including blowing up Cudi's car, after discovering their relationship. These allegations were initially included in her November 2023 civil lawsuit against Combs, which was quickly settled.

The relationship between Ventura and Cudi, whose legal name is Scott Mescudi, occurred in 2011 during a difficult period in her on-and-off relationship with Combs. Gossip reports at the time hinted at the affair, with one report alleging Cudi was living in fear of Diddy's revenge.

Ventura's lawsuit claimed Combs threatened to blow up Cudi's car in 2012. A fire department report obtained by Rolling Stone revealed that police responded to a vehicle arson at Cudi's Los Angeles address on January 9, 2012.

The report indicated that a Porsche parked in front of Cudi's house was intentionally set on fire using an "incendiary device." Despite an investigation, no suspects were ever arrested in connection with the arson.

Cudi confirmed the veracity of the events through a spokeswoman in 2023. Rumors of the attack have circulated for years, with journalist Gavin Godfrey tweeting about Diddy's alleged involvement in 2014.

Federal authorities referenced the alleged threats against Cudi and the car attack in September 2024 while arguing against Combs' release on bail. Combs has denied ever threatening Cudi or having any involvement in the arson.

Combs' attorney, Marc Agnifilo, stated that the government lacked evidence linking Combs to the arson and that Combs denies any involvement.
