Robert Luketic, known for directing films like "Legally Blonde," is set to direct the survival thriller "Resurface." The film, penned by Pete Bridges, unfolds in the Mariana Trench, the deepest part of the ocean.

"Resurface" follows two survivors of an underwater earthquake that decimates a deep-sea research mission. They face a desperate race against time to ascend 35,000 feet before their life support systems fail. Luketic highlights the themes of endurance and reconnection amidst immense pressure.

Craig McMahon of Forte Corp Pictures and Todd Fellman are producing the film. Principal photography will take place in Melbourne. The movie promises a thrilling battle for survival against the elements.
