The film features a notable cast, including Papua New Guinea's tribal leader Sine Boboro, alongside Indian actors Ritabhari Chakraborty and Prakash Bare. The musical score is composed by three-time Grammy Award-winning composer Ricky Kej. "Papa Buka" is scheduled for release in Papua New Guinea on September 19, 2025, with plans for an international festival tour and an Oscar campaign.
