Margot Robbie Discusses Harley Quinn's Future and New Cinematic Projects

Margot Robbie, widely recognized for her dynamic portrayal of Harley Quinn in the DC Extended Universe, has expressed her openness to other actresses taking on the iconic role. She believes Harley Quinn, much like other enduring male characters in cinema, possesses a timeless quality that allows for varied interpretations across different performers over time.

DC Studios co-CEO James Gunn echoed this sentiment, stating that while there are no immediate plans to recast Harley Quinn, he is keen on continuing to collaborate with Robbie in new capacities. Robbie's career is expanding beyond her well-known DC character, with early discussions underway for her to star in and produce Tim Burton's reimagining of the 1958 classic, 'Attack of the Fifty Foot Woman.' This project aligns with her company, LuckyChap Entertainment's, commitment to championing female-driven narratives.

Further diversifying her upcoming slate, Robbie is set to star in 'A Big Bold Beautiful Journey,' a romantic fantasy film directed by Kogonada and written by Seth Reiss. The film, which also features Colin Farrell, Kevin Kline, and Phoebe Waller-Bridge, is scheduled for release on September 19, 2025, and explores themes of connection and self-discovery through the journey of two strangers.

These new ventures highlight Robbie's versatility and influence in Hollywood, as she balances the contemplation of her most recognized character's legacy with her forward-looking approach to new creative opportunities and storytelling.
