Kiyoshi Kurosawa's 'Cloud' US Release: July 2025

Kiyoshi Kurosawa's psychological thriller, *Cloud*, is set to premiere in U.S. theaters in July 2025. The film will open in New York City on July 18, followed by a Los Angeles release on July 25, before expanding nationwide. Sideshow and Janus Films are distributing the film.

*Cloud* premiered at the Venice International Film Festival in August 2024. The film stars Masaki Suda as Ryosuke Yoshii, a reseller who becomes entangled in the black market. As Yoshii's greed escalates, he isolates himself, leading to a series of mysterious and thrilling events. The cast also includes Kotone Furukawa, Daiken Okudaira, and Amane Okayama.

Kurosawa drew inspiration from a real-life incident in Japan and stories from reseller friends. *Cloud* was selected as the Japanese entry for the 97th Academy Awards but was not nominated. The film holds an impressive score on Rotten Tomatoes, promising a compelling cinematic experience.
