Edited by: Anulyazolotko Anulyazolotko

Jennifer Lopez stars in the upcoming film "Kiss of the Spider Woman," based on the stage musical. The film is set to hit theaters on October 10th through Lionsgate.

Lopez plays Ingrid Luna, a glamorous diva whose most famous role involves a spider woman. The story follows Luis, a gay hairdresser imprisoned during Argentina's Dirty War, who uses Luna's films to escape reality. He forms an unlikely bond with Valentin, a Marxist, over music and cinema.

The film premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in January. Variety's review praised Lopez's performance, calling it "smoldering." The review also highlighted the performance of Tonatiuh, noting his ability to portray both strength and vulnerability.
