The Italian Comedy Festival – Hollywood 4.0 is scheduled to take place at the Marilyn Monroe Theatre in West Hollywood from October 6-8, 2025. This marks the fourth year of the festival, which aims to celebrate Italian comedy by connecting its rich traditions with contemporary talent. Directed by actor Gianfranco Terrin, the event will explore humor relevant to modern life.

This year's program will feature themes such as artificial intelligence, the pursuit of beauty, inclusion, mental health, and the challenges faced by artists in a globalized market. It will also touch upon the American dream as it relates to Italian creative expression. Actress Marina Suma, known for her roles in "Sapore di mare" and "Cuori nella tormenta," will serve as the godmother for the 2025 edition. Suma, a recipient of the David di Donatello award for her debut in "Le occasioni di Rosa," will also be featured in the competition film "Amici per caso," directed by Max Nardari, which will have its Los Angeles premiere at the festival.

Attendees can expect a diverse cinematic selection, including feature films, international short films, and documentaries. The festival will also host live stand-up comedy performances and theatrical presentations. The play "Tutti bene ma non benissimo" is set to receive the "Comedy Beyond Borders" award for its role in fostering cultural understanding through humor.

Enhancing the festival experience, dialect coach Esther Caporale, who has worked with numerous Hollywood actors, will lead a masterclass on mastering the American accent. The "Comedy Beyond Borders" award specifically recognizes works that use comedy to promote international dialogue and break down cultural and linguistic barriers. The festival's reach is international, with short films submitted from countries including Spain and Switzerland, reflecting a global appreciation for comedic storytelling.
