Irene Escolar Honored At The Huesca International Film Festival

The 53rd Huesca International Film Festival is underway, with actress Irene Escolar receiving the prestigious Carlos Saura Award.

Escolar, known for her work in Spanish cinema, expressed her honor at receiving an award named after Carlos Saura, who directed her in her first film. The festival also includes the Danzante de Honor Award, presented to the Teatro Olimpia, and the Pepe Escriche Award, given to the Venice International Film Festival.

The festival will feature 76 short films competing for the Danzante Awards, which serve as a pre-selection for the Oscars and are endorsed by the Goya Awards. Additionally, Charo López will receive the Luis Buñuel Award, and Blanca Suárez and Eduardo Noriega will attend the trailer presentation for "Parecido a un asesinato."
