Director Uwe Boll's new thriller, "Run," is scheduled for a worldwide digital release on November 14, 2025. The film chronicles the perilous journey of African migrants heading to Italy, highlighting the escalating conflicts they face with smugglers and authorities when their vessel is rerouted.

The ensemble cast features notable actors such as Amanda Plummer, known for her roles in "Pulp Fiction" and "The Hunger Games: Catching Fire," and James Russo, recognized for his work in "Donnie Brasco" and "Public Enemies." Also appearing in the film are Ulrich Thomsen, celebrated for his European cinema performances in "The Celebration" and "In a Better World," and Barkhad Abdi, who gained international acclaim for his role in "Captain Phillips."

Filming for "Run" took place in Baška, Croatia, with the island of Krk serving as a stand-in for an Italian coastal town. Quiver Distribution will handle the digital release in North America and the United Kingdom. Phars Film is managing distribution in West Asia, while Kinostar is overseeing the global rollout, ensuring a synchronized worldwide release.

This synchronized global release strategy for "Run" reflects a growing trend in independent film distribution, aiming for simultaneous worldwide audience engagement. The film's thematic focus on the migrant crisis aligns with a broader cinematic trend of addressing significant social issues, humanizing the experiences of refugees, and countering misinformation.
