The film delves into the experiences of a Portuguese environmental engineer who journeys to Guinea-Bissau, leading to a profound understanding of his work and the world around him.

The Un Certain Regard's top honor was awarded to "The Mysterious Gaze of the Flamingo" by Diego Céspedes. The festival concluded on May 24, 2025, with Jafar Panahi's "It Was Just an Accident" taking home the Palme d'Or.
