The Minecraft Movie has become the highest-grossing film of 2025 so far in both the UK and Ireland. The film, based on the popular video game, has earned €60.6 million (£51.7 million) in just four weeks.

This surpasses the previous leader, Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy, which earned €54.3 million (£46.3 million) over 11 weeks. The upcoming bank holiday weekend is expected to further boost the Minecraft Movie's earnings.

The film has drawn large crowds, especially young children and teenagers, who have been enthusiastically reacting to key moments. A line shouted by Jack Black's character, "chicken jockey," has become a particular crowd-pleaser. The film's continued success will be tested with the release of Marvel's Thunderbolts* this weekend.
