Saadet Işıl Aksoy's 'Confidente' Premieres at Berlin Film Festival After Antalya Golden Orange Honor

Saadet Işıl Aksoy, honored with the 'Honorary Medal' at the International Antalya Golden Orange Film Festival, premiered her film 'Confidente' at the Berlin Film Festival. Directed by Çağla Zencirci and Guillaume Giovanetti, this Turkish-French-Luxembourg co-production features Aksoy in the lead role. The film revolves around a woman in the 1990s whose life takes an unexpected turn after a mysterious phone call. 'Confidente' follows the character Arzu, played by Aksoy, as she receives a call from a young man claiming to be trapped in rubble and seeking help. The cast includes Erkan Kolçak Köstendil, Muhammet Uzuner, and Nilgün Türksever. Aksoy emphasized the importance of global film festivals in her career and announced plans for a French release and Paris premiere. The 62nd International Antalya Golden Orange Film Festival is scheduled for October 24 - November 2, 2025.
