The Berlin Fashion Week 2025, held from June 30th to July 3rd, presented a diverse array of fashion, art, and culture. Approximately 30,000 guests from around the globe gathered to view the latest collections for the Autumn/Winter 2025 season, under the theme "The Responsible Movement of Freedom, Inclusion, and Creativity."
The fashion week utilized unconventional venues, including the Halle am Berghain, the St. Thomas Church, and a historic World War II bunker, reflecting Berlin's multifaceted character. The opening event, DER BERLINER SALON, took place at the Museum of Photography on June 30th, showcasing German fashion and design within a cultural context and was open to the public from July 1st to 6th.
INTERVENTION by Reference Studios was held on July 2nd at the Palais am Funkturm, featuring shows by LUEDER, David Koma, GmbH, and Ottolinger, accompanied by a musical performance. The NEUESTES format by the NOWADAYS agency presented various shows and installations at different locations in Berlin on July 1st and 2nd.
For the first time, the Berlin Contemporary competition was open to international labels. Winners included BUZIGAHILL from Uganda, PALMWINE IceCREAM from Ghana, and Orange Culture from Nigeria. The Berlin Fashion Week 2025 reinforced Berlin's standing as a significant hub for fashion and culture.
