Celine is participating in the Osaka-Kansai Expo 2025 as a representative of French creativity within the France Pavilion. The event, which runs from April 13 to May 11, is themed "a hymn to love." The pavilion was designed by Thomas Coldefy and CRA-Carlo Ratti Associati.

Founded in Paris in 1945, Celine is celebrating its 80th anniversary this year. The brand is highlighting its bond with Japan, where it has been present since 1970. Celine's temporary exhibition merges French minimalism with Japanese aesthetics.

The exhibition features the Japanese art of Urushi lacquerware, presented by Hikoju Makie. Celine is unveiling an exclusive series of works decorated with its Triomphe monogram, reinterpreted using the Maki-e technique. Three Triomphe bags, in red, black, and gold, were created specifically for the event.

Artist and director Soshi Nakamura created two video installations. "Hands at Work" documents the work of artisans from Hikoju Makie and Celine. "Ten Landscapes of Dreams" is an immersive installation featuring the Triomphe monogram moving through dreamlike landscapes.

Celine's exhibition pays tribute to Japanese culture. It showcases a dialogue between arts, traditions, and contemporary visions. The narrative celebrates art as a living heritage.
