Sassari, Italy - A new cultural initiative, the Distretto Culturale, has launched in Sassari, Italy, featuring a five-day festival from June 18 to 22. The event showcases a diverse program of classical and folk music concerts, dance performances, readings, creative workshops, and installations. The festival is a collaboration between four cultural associations.
The participating associations include Senza Confini Di Pelle, Balletto del Mediterraneo, Clip - Collettivo letterario informale performativo, and Il Colombre. The Distretto Culturale aims to create a creative hub, expanding from the Quartiere di Cappuccini to Largo Pescheria. The festival is part of the Aria Performing Art Festival.
The central venue for the Distretto Culturale is the Studio Due, the home of Senza Confini Di Pelle. Each evening at 5 PM, the festival will begin with concerts by talented Sardinian musicians. The program includes performances by Francesca Apeddu (flute), Maria Luciani (guitar), and Beatrice Melis (harp). At 8 PM, the festival will feature the dance-theater performance "Iperuranio" by Dario La Stella.
Additional events include dance performances by Balletto del Mediterraneo and a reading workshop by Il Colombre. The festival aims to highlight the rich cultural offerings within Sassari. The organizers plan to continue the project with further initiatives beyond the summer months.
