The Museo del Tessuto in Prato, Italy, will host an authentic replica of the mantle worn by Pope John Paul II during the opening of the Holy Door in the Jubilee of 2000. The exhibition will run from June 19 to September 21, 2025, coinciding with the museum's 50th anniversary and the Jubilee of Hope.

The project for the papal mantle and liturgical vestments was initiated in 1999, involving textile companies from Prato. The design and creation of the vestments were entrusted to the X Regio atelier of sacred art in Venice.

Over 16,000 meters of fabric were used to create 4,000 liturgical vestments for cardinals, bishops, and priests. The textiles were designed to reflect the Church's entry into the third millennium, featuring a polychrome design with symbolic representations of the cosmos, humanity, the Redeemer, and the end of time.

The replica offers visitors a chance to appreciate the artistry of Prato's textile companies and reflect on the significance of these liturgical vestments within the context of the 2025 Jubilee. The information is based on reports from TV Prato and Ravenna Today.
