Dario Gambarin's Land Art Pays Tribute to Pope Leo XIV

01:06, 18 July

Edited by: Energy Shine Energy_Shine

Italian artist Dario Gambarin has unveiled a new land art piece titled "Welcome on the Land – Benvenuto in Terra" in Castagnaro, Verona. The artwork spans approximately 25,000 square meters and features the symbol of the Augustinian Order, to which Pope Leo XIV belongs, at its center. Gambarin utilized a tractor and rotary harrow to create the design, a technique he has employed in previous works dedicated to figures such as Pope Francis and President Barack Obama. The piece serves as a visual homage to Pope Leo XIV and conveys a message of hope and peace. Gambarin's land art is characterized by its temporary nature, as the designs are erased after a few days to allow for the land's cultivation. This latest creation continues his tradition of merging agriculture with artistic expression to deliver poignant messages.
