At the 27th Shanghai International Film Festival, the China Film Foundation unveiled two major AI-driven initiatives as part of the "Kung Fu Film Heritage Project." These initiatives aim to revitalize and innovate within the martial arts film genre.

The first initiative involves digitally remastering 100 classic kung fu films using artificial intelligence. This includes enhancing image quality, sound, and overall production value, while preserving the original storytelling. Titles set for AI restoration include "Fist of Fury" and "Once Upon a Time in China."

The second initiative is the world's first fully AI-produced animated feature film, "A Better Tomorrow: Cyber Border." Produced by Quantum Animation, the film utilized a full-stack AI pipeline, significantly reducing production time and manpower. The festival,

These developments reflect a broader trend in the Chinese film industry, where AI is increasingly integrated into filmmaking. The China Film Foundation's efforts aim to ensure the relevance of martial arts films for contemporary audiences. This information comes from the 27th Shanghai International Film Festival.
