Mirjana Marsenić Vujović's "The Sound of Silence" Exhibition Highlights Environmental Awareness Through Art in Podgorica

Mirjana Marsenić Vujović's solo exhibition, "The Sound of Silence," is on display at the Modern Gallery of the Museum and Galleries of Podgorica until March 27, 2025. The exhibition features 11 large-format oil paintings and an installation of floating water lilies made from nylon and plastic, addressing environmental issues and the relationship between humanity and nature.

Marsenić Vujović emphasizes that the destruction of nature is the destruction of ourselves, and art is a tool to raise awareness and inspire action. Her work reflects a deep respect for nature and a concern for its preservation in the face of industrialization and unsustainable development. The exhibition aims to evoke emotions and stimulate reflection on our connection to the environment.

The artist's use of materials like nylon in her water lily installation serves as a critique of pollution and the overuse of plastics. The exhibition serves as a reminder of the importance of preserving Montenegro's natural beauty and managing resources responsibly for future generations.
