Edited by: Irena I

The FEMSA Biennial, a significant platform for contemporary art in Mexico and Latin America, commemorates its 30th anniversary with a retrospective exhibition in Monterrey. The exhibition, titled "30 Years in the World of Art," showcases over 80 works by 54 artists from its fifteen editions, highlighting the Biennial's role in supporting artists and shaping the contemporary art scene since 1992.

The exhibition features notable works such as Betsabeé Romero's "Refugio para un lecho de rosas" (1994) and Gerardo Azcúnaga's "La bestia" (1994), among others. The Biennial has been crucial in preserving contemporary art in Mexico, acquiring and safeguarding pieces that might otherwise have been lost. The exhibition is currently on display at the Nave Dos and Fototeca de Nuevo León, Centro de las Artes, Parque Fundidora.
